Foundations was established to provide affordable, high quality and sustainable housing that people want – and deserve – to live in. Homes that are great spaces to raise a family, to create memories, and that are comfortable places in which to grow older.

With the support of Liverpool City Council, Foundations has delivered two schemes at Harrington Row – Dingle and Birchfield Street – Everton, providing 18 homes on a Rent to Buy tenure for families aspiring to get on the property ladder.

In 2020, following change in Government policy, Local Authorities can now build ‘Council Homes’ again without penalty. This means that the Council with Foundations and partner organisations such as Registered Providers and Private House Builders can contribute to the City housing strategy and house building targets. Foundations remains active in managing its properties and supporting its tenants but the Council will deliver directly any plans it has for new housing development through its recently created Strategic Housing Delivery Team, with a view to providing affordable housing tenures and intermediate housing products.
