About us

Foundations is a new ethical housing company established by Liverpool City Council to help meet the needs of the city’s residents in the 21st century.

Foundations represents a £1 billion programme that aims to work through public-private partnerships to deliver 10,000 new homes over the next decade, providing a mix of affordable and family housing both for sale and rent.

We will utilise a variety of funding streams, plus council-owned land and vacant stock, to build and refurbish homes across the city which are energy efficient, last a lifetime and use responsible contractors and local labour in their construction.

Our values are centred on fairness, quality and inclusivity.

We want to build the kind of homes that people need – and that they want to live in.
